[Mk2] [Turbo] FLICKING SPEEDO NEEDLE

My rev3 turbo has a flicking speedo needle,it doesn't do it all the time but can flick up to 160mph whilst doin motorway speeds,i presume its just the speedo cable sticking a bit inside.If so how easy are these to replace?

mine does exactly the same mate, think it the electricl sender/

Ahh i did wonder if it would have an electronic sender rather than a cable,it just seemed like it was a sticky cable the way it behaves.Spose its probably an easier job to change than a bloody great long cable.

Look down past youur distributor cap on top of the gear box there`s an electrical sender unit with 3 cables usual problem is its full of water.
