World record attempt route

Post by BLZ-8027 »

Is there a route that most people will go to rockingham?
I:e M1 or M6 then A14 to junction 7 (i think) or are you all making your own way through the villages , i know it will depend where people are traveling from but some people prefer motorways and others don't
also theres a Macdonald's and service station on the A14 where most could meet about 40 mins away

Jo & I will be traveling from Leicester. Not sure if we will be in two MR2's or one as only the track car is running and road legal ATM...

AA Route planner (via A14) recokons it will take exactly 1 hour. Need to be there by 10.

I suggest we could meet at LFE Services (M1) at 08:30 (to leave for 08:40) on Sunday Morning "pootle" down to J19 (M1) onto the A14 brief drive-through "stop" at the Rothwell Services on the A14 (eastbound). Will probably arrive at 09:10 to leave at 09:15 to continue on the A14 to J7 onto the A43 then onto the A6003>A6116 onward to Rockingham

Naturally those travelling South on the M1 could meet at LFE (Leicester Forest East) Services too. The more the merier

PS: Can a Moderator please change the title of this thread to "WRA - M1 Southbound Convoy, Sunday"
