Air Pressure for 17" tyres?

Post by TUR80 »

What air pressure should I use for my Tubby?

I'm using a 215 at the front and a 235 at the rear.

If anyone can help it would be much appreciated. :)

IIRC on mine they were

Rear- 35
Front- 31.

But u can have what u like really, just experiment with how it handles and drives.

Range of say Rear: 31-35
Front: 29-32

An article I read in Jap Performance a couple of year ago suggested an increase of 2psi for each inch in oversize above standard wheel diameter.

remember you're dealing with pressure, not volume of air. standard pressures are ok, and adjust to taste.

so as i said, there's no set firgure really.

But if you're Bernhard manning driving Bella Emberg to mcdonalds, then you will need a bit more pressure. As with frosty conditions, bit less pressure the better as i end up with more grip.
