So that's what they look like when they are really clean...

Post by Aitch »

I decided to spend a bit of money on having Cyril brought up to a high standard. He was in good condition when I bought him, but I knew he could look so much better with a bit of effort. I spent the effort earning the money so that I didn't have to put any more in to get the results I wanted so I took it to one of these detailing fellas...

People don't believe me when I say my drive to work is on roads that resemble those in Hazzard County, but the car was washed last weekend and I only went to work 3 days last week and it looked like this today...

After a hose down and a bit of a blast with a jet wash doofah, this is what emerged...

Then some special foamy type stuff was sprayed over it...

Then there was several hours of applying "products" to it. I went off for a brew and a bacon butty up Rivvy Pike (in a 400bhp 200 SX 8) ) and when I came back, Cyril looked like this...

I got it done here...

Be warned, he's very expensive, but also very good. I got a reduced price fom him because I know Scott very well through SXOC and he has also done my 200SX. I was so impressed with his work that I decided to have the MR2 done too. Six months later, just a quick wash of the 200 brings it up really clean, so I'm hoping the same will be the case for the MR2 8)

Cheers Red :thumleft:

After a day parked up at work, it already has a fine covering of wood flour dust, but still looks inordinately shiny 8)
