I think the judge missed the point of the show to be honest. I reckon it must have been a different judge from last year, almost certainly.

From what I heard the judge didn't even see our stand.
I certainly never saw any judges, saw a photographer but no judge.

I know the real reason we didn't win a prize, but I'm not saying anything....

Ok, you asked for it Tim, here's what really happened

First of all Tim dumped half the contents of his sump on the floor. Unfortunately Tim then wandered away and I'd also got oil on my hands (cos I was trying to tidy his mess up).



A bloke came up to me and said "What the hell are you doing?" He thought I'd done it! Then he told me he was the judge and he wasn't very impressed at all. Anyway after about 10 minutes of me calming him down and assuring him we would tidy it up he went away saying he'd be back later to see how we were getting on. Phew! I was sure I'd saved the day.

Well he did come back. Technically the judge shouldn't have been talking to any of the people on the stands. But he knew that I knew he was the judge so he didn't mind talking to me. I showed him round the stand and he was really impressed. "Superb display boards", "Loads of work going on", "Truly in the spirit of the event" etc etc etc.

But Tim saw me tallking to him and thought it would be funny if he mooned at the judge! I only caught the back end of it, have a look:



The judge was absolutely horrified and said: " I'm absolutely disgusted!" and stormed off.

And then to cap it all Tim decided to leave a memento of our stand for the organisers to clean up:



I ended up taking the bloody thing home......

So there you go, that's what really happened.

Still buzzing from Sundays excellent day! and each time I take the mk1 out it feels even better.

Im just working on the article for MR2 Only Magazine, with photos its making a good five pages, Ive asked Kirsty and Kaiwos for a few comments about how the day went etc, but if anyone else has anything to add, please do get in touch.

Ive another 150 photos that Luke our photographer took which I will make available when I get a moment (a bit bogged down finishing mag )

And one more thing, before Jo comes back I think you need to change the heading from "True Team Spirit - Mk1 Owners Club" to "True Team Spirit - MR2Mk1Club". (You wouldn't like her when she gets angry - she turns green! )

Kaiowas isn't in the photo either - and it was his car!!!
Problem being we took the photo when they had to move the cars out...
