Very good condition British Rev2 in zircon blue with 17”s

Post by Mikey P MR2 »

I am considering selling due to wanting a turbo and also a less mint car in which I can fit a body kit and generally modify.

This car as pointed out by my girlfriend really is too clean and good condition to modify and could easy be put back to totally standard if required.
It pasted its MOT yesterday, first time and is taxed for a couple more months. It has been recently serviced by 3s (mr2 specialists) and had a new clutch about 6mths ago.
Being the British model it has leather and a t bar and also fairly cheap insurance and would make a great first mr2.
It currently has an aftermarket steering wheel and induction kit fitted both of these can be removed if required and standard parts will be included.
The only fault is the drivers seat bolster has worn through (currently repaired with tape), I understand this is very common. The paint work is original and mint no fading (like on many red cars) and the sides are free from the usual small dents etc.

It has covered 120k but regularly serviced and you could not tell this from the condition. On recent meets it has been commented on how good a condition it looks. You may have seen it on display at Santa pod Jap show the other week.

I can honestly say that this car is in great condition and I have looked after it very well.

I have bought a body kit but could not bring myself to drill holes in the car to fit it so I am really looking for a less mint car to fit this too, so would defiantly consider a px/swap for another MR2 preferably a turbo and t bar with cash either way depending on car.

Come on there must be some one wanting to down grade from a turbo to an NA (not sure why though)?
I have this car and about 1k to offer and don’t expect a car in the same mint condition but must be mechanically sound.
Failing that this would make a great first MR2 as it’s the lower insurance British model and is in great condition.

IMHO, adverts are better with more pics, under the bonnet, interior, etc.

Ok I am now defiantly looking to sell ASAP. I have just bought a Supra today and need the money to pay for the insurance.

To keep up to date the car has now covered 122k has almost 12months MOT and 1 months Tax.

I will give the seller the choice or single Pioneer CD player or double CD/Mini disc player fitted.
It will include the nearly new 17” alloys/tyres and leave the induction kit and aftermarket steering wheel fitted although include the standard steering wheel and air box.

It comes with a CAT1 Toad alarm; it’s very easy to insure being the British model and has been very well looked after.
It’s much better than average condition and the only negative is a split drivers seat bolster.

I know it’s the wrong time or year to sell specially a T bar. But I can’t insure both cars so would like to sell straight away and will take offers on the £2200 price.

Thanks for looking Mike

Ok I still have this car for sale (had taken it off the market over the Xmas period to use) however I now have a Rev3 turbo in need of some new tyres so I really need to sell this on asap.
I am willing to take offers close to £2000 (currently has 10mths mot and 5mths tax)

Also on piston heads

It’s on piston heads for £2000 but I will take £1800 from anyone on here, this is a great price given the good condition of the car (I know the mileage is a little high but it’s been well looked after and should be good for plenty more miles yet).

Will consider a cheap PX, any hatch back really as a runabout for the Girl friend but must be at least £1k on top of PX.
