[Mk2] [Turbo] Help, need to know what is the best battery to replace mine,

Post by Big Maka »

My battery has completely died, can't even use the central locking or the alarm. I checked the battery for size but low and behold because it is an import it is all written in japenese (funny that! lol) I then went to halfrauds to see if they new the number and they say it's not listed because it is an import.

I run a lot of electrical equiptment in my car and am looking to install monitors and a PS2 very shortly, can anyone provide me with recommendations for batteries and what size or number the replacement should be?

Any help would be much appreciated fellow 2 owners!!

just get a decent top quality battery.. a normal UK car battery shuld fit in there.. my jap battery is wedged in with bits of timber cos its soo small..

as long as its not more than 12v then it shouldn't matter, just make sure it has a high amp'age.. Or, ask for a battery for a celica GT4 or mr2 N/A.

at the end of the day, it cant do any harm, as when the 'Audio' boys fit there giant sound systems to cars, they use batterys that are powerfull enough to run a small supermarket!! and they dont effect the cars std wireing etc.

What does code,005 mean?

Is this reference to the exact size of the battery location or amps/power
of the battery..etc...?

Good to know strange size?
