BUTTER FLY VALVE

Hi guys with N/As the butterfly valve near the throttle body opens up after 5000rpm would a chip or some form of reprogrammable ecu be able to get this to open earlier to produce more torque!

If you're referring to TVIS, i think you'll probably find MrT optomised your torque for you on a standard engine.

I doubt very much you'll discover anything they didn't.

pete i mean that if it opened earlier wud it give the same torque across a wider rpm band ! eg instead of 5000rpm to 6300rpm maybe 4000rpm to 6500 rpm!

I think what Pete meant was, if u fiddled about with it and got it to open earlier, u may end losing power futher down(not to mention emptying your petrol tank)

Yes robbie, and as i said, i think MrT may have tried that during the design phase..
