Re: MR2 Run to New Forest (replaces June Brighton Run)
The pub we thought of is the one the South Central club use for their pub meets, Sir Walter tyrrell, Grendal knows it, looks as though it will be ideal for camping, others who want to stay in a Hotel or b+b can go from there, maybe by taxi

Re: MR2 Run to New Forest (replaces June Brighton Run)
Sir Walter Tyrell is a top Pub, has a reasonably decent car park and does host some other car clubs IIRC, worth giving them a shout re accomodating us as the pub itself isn't huge.

I'll get back to you with a route suggestion Steve.
How many stops do you reckon?

How many cars do you think would be involved? 30-40?

Chris

Re: MR2 Run to New Forest (replaces June Brighton Run)
Hi Chris,
I'm not sure how many cars will be involved yet, when we do the Brighton run, we get 35-50 cars, i would estimate 20-40.
I'm sure we will have more idea once the details of the run are sorted.
I
think 3 stops would be ok, once we have all met up but as we don't really know the route very well we are open to suggestions

Cheers
Steve.

Pease Pottage to Beaulieu for a perve at the cars then on to the pub for drink or five and some camping.
With great driving roads in between.

Sounds like a plan

I'll be there if it doesn't clash with my kid's birthday.
Hell, even the missus likes the sounds of it

Re: MR2 Run to New Forest (replaces June Brighton Run)
The date has now been confirmed as, Saturday, Sunday, 9th and 10th of June.

More details will be on here soon, about the run itself, it does look like we
have loads of people interested.
Hopefully people that want to camp will be able to at the Walter Tyrell pub and others at a b+b or Hotel.
Details will be updated as soon as it is finalised.

I haven't driven the roads myself but have been told, they are very good!

Re: MR2 Run to New Forest (replaces June Brighton Run)
I just want to remind you that this event is open to all mr2's, mk1's,
2's and 3's.

It has been mentioned before that the Brighton run was too short so we decided this would be a good drive, then camping or Hotel
, a few beers in the evening followed by a visit to
the Motor Museum at Beulie
( spelling wrong) next day,
a good drive home.
If your up for a good weekend away, please let us know, then we can get arrangements
sorted!
Cheers
Steve.

Sounds brilliant! It's a bit of a trek, but it's the old roads I used to drive daily so I'm in!
May have a passenger but I'll know closer to the time.

Re: MR2 Run to New Forest (replaces June Brighton Run)
I'm not certain yet what this entails but Beaulieu have asked us to show our cars!
This would have to be on the Saturday, as they have a big show on Sunday, i think it's Mini day.
We haven't agreed to the Saturday yet!
but If we do go for it, would be a drive, show and meet in the evening, camp or Hotel,
something like that!
I'm sure there will be updates soon!
We will get something sorted and look forward to seeing loads of cars there

O yer forgot to say we wont be camping/staying over since only live up the road.
Also depending on our wedding plans we may only do the Saturday if we still need to organise for the following weekend
