It going to be fun if the rain holds off. It will be interesting to see who else is about testing and stuff.

Kev and I will be going with the video kit to take some footage whatever the weather as I'm having terrible Santa Pod withdrawal! :D

Be great to see what spudfromengland runs, considering what Patrick was saying about his car yesterday... :thumleft:

My best run on one super windy cold ass day:

14.2 @ 98mph

well its a bench mark to try to beat for the rest of the year.

Oh and hi to Patrick and the guy in the mega tubbie that destroyed me with a 12.3 @ 119mph (Sorry I forgot yer name) :(

Not half! Absolutely freeeeeeeeeezing, and so windy that I couldn't get any decent video footage of any MR2s going up the strip.

Thank gawd they brought the jet car out and ran that (we were all stood in the stand behind the start line) as the heat from the back of it warmed us up for a few minutes... 8)

Yeah, he made it but went away disappointed. Traction was a big issue for everyone and the mid-afternoon showers didn't help any! His best run of the day was an 11.5 @ 119mph, following which he ran an 11.6 @126mph. That said, he was the quickest car there by over a second!

With sufficient traction there's plenty more to come.

I was saying to Nod about how few people were bothering to light up their tyres prior to launch, and as he said, the startline crew weren't overly keen on throwing the wet stuff down on the back of the lanes. Spud did an interesting twist to his tyre warm-up, too!

I've never seen so many 4x4 cars sliding about after the green light. Like a load of MR2s on diesel...

the only good thing about my crap times is last year at the first rwyb i did a 14.08.that went down to a 13.2 so this year my time being a bit quicker i should end up with a 13 flat [-o< as i did a 13.87
