scottietse, read the posts again and your second point should become clear.
You are asking for pinouts of where the 2 spare multiplugs will go, in relation to the 3 spade connectors coming from each element - I don't know this, Slarty....?

Re: H4 HID Kit Interest?
sorry you guys for the crap english
i only just got the kit and was abit to excited .
well i have manged to wire them up and all is working.
this is what i have done...
1 with the wiring loom there is a multi plug. that fits to the orignal light socket (this sets the relay to start up the hid on low beam)
2 plug the loom in to the ballast and the ballast to the light (this supplies the hid with the power which is controled by the relay.
3 now we got low beam sorted the only thing remaining is to set up is the flash lights. from the wiring loom on the multi plug are 2 wires which i can only assume control the flash light.
from the bulb there are only 2 black wire which should be for the flash light. wire the blue and black from the (loom) multi plug to the black wires and...hey presto that should light up the fogs
as for the other side (from the bulb) you should have 2 black wires like the other bulb. with one of the multi plugs they supply fit them in the hole parrallel to each other and plug in to multi plug socket from the car
hope this is clearer.... it worked for me

Re: H4 HID Kit Interest?
Hi Speedy,
Any chance you can confirm who's kit it was that wasn't sent with the others? It's just that as of today mine still hasn't arrived. Now, I know that my Uni can be really cr@p with sorting parcels but apparently it just hasn't arrived yet... Is there any way of tracking?
Cheers.
(Note: I'm in no rush to get them as I won't have time to fit them for a couple of weeks at least. But I just want to make sure they haven't gotten lost somewhere down the line...)

Re: H4 HID Kit Interest?
Hi guys, just to let you all know i've found a different way of wiring them that seems much tidier.
I'm also going to be fitting mine if possible with the use of a diode between the +ve full beam wire to the relay +ve trigger wire so the HID's stay on when the full beam is on, because looking at the wiring i'd say they must switch off when you switch to full beam unless i'm mistaken?

Re: H4 HID Kit Interest?
Scottie, perhaps you can (pardon the pun) shine some light on my query, if you have your full beam on and switch to high beam does the HID stay on or go off.
Because i haven't traced the wires yet inside the HID carried for the bulbs i can't rule out that the full beam doesn't send a voltage to the HID element to keep it running while the full beam is on and the power to the ballasts is off.
Yes i know the ballasts are needed to get the ark going but once its going doesn't it just run off 12V and circa 9A so it is technically feasable.
Also outta interest scottie, did you use the direct battery feed harness? looking at mine i'd say it looks quite short and might have bother reaching it around the car, cannot wait to get my MR2 back and get these fitted

Re: H4 HID Kit Interest?
Can I just check what HID kits you got please. Are they the H4 non Hi/Lo set?
Thanks,
Ant

Re: H4 HID Kit Interest?
They are HID dipped beam, xenon main beam, so not HID hi/low.

Yeah. turns out he was never meant to get Hi/Lo's tho.
Its like chinese whispers!
Someone starts off getting HID Hi/Lo's.. ends up with a Halfords emergancy replacement H4

That does sound quite tasty mate, look forward to seeing what you do to get that config...
There wouldn't be too much heat in the bulb would there with both filaments on?
Re: H4 HID Kit Interest?
Can anyone confirm if they have got them fitted fully and working?
Does the HID dipped take time to charge up like the do when you first switch them on after you switch from the main?
I spoke to James at 3s as I'm getting mine fitted next week and he's had experience of fitting a set that did this and he said it scared the life out of him when he switched off the main beam and was left in darkness!
I was looking forward to getting these on the car but the lack of clear instructions and clarity on how they operate is concerning me
Is there any way that we can get an answer from the supplier on this and if it is the case that these don't switch properly between main and dipped look at sending them back if we aren't happy
