Supercharger with roll cage - £950

Post by dr_wilkinson »

Just a quick heads up - I was in discussions about importing this car from Japan until I saw an umissable bargain much closer to home....

www.kamikaze-drive.com/CARS_TOYOTA/MR2006.htm

Including all shipping and import costs it should still come to under £2k - not a bad price including a cage. I thought someone else may be interested!

I dont know the company sorry, but surely any jap import car with a roll cage will have been ragged within an inch of its life? Good price though !

Yeah, it is a risk I guess. Importing Superchargers aint that viable these days, costing over 5 grand with most importers

I think you're looking in the wrong places if you're being quoted £5k for a supercharger, unless it's an absolute minter....

I had a Dunn and Bradstreet report done on the company (kind of credit check), and they came back as pretty reputable. They trade in Japan as KissDrive, been around since 2001 so shouldn't be too dodgy!

The five grand is with all the leg work being done by the companies that import. Is this the best way to do it or register the car yourself and pay the import tax etc?

That company look like they have a nice variety of cars, loads of Levin AE86, if you like that kind of thing!

Have you any suggestions for cheaper Supercharger imports?
