Hi guys n gals,

It is with much reluctance that I am having to put my car up for sale.

I thought I'd be able to hang on to this until I was old and grey but alas, life has other ideas

(the planned patter of tiny feet!).

The car itself was imported through Julian at Japanese Direct Imports in the spring of 2003.

I am the first and only UK owner.

When the car came over it had problems with a coolant leak and in the end a new engine was sourced from a Celica GT4

(same block as the MR2 GTS).

The speedo at that point read 37'000 miles and the new engine had 7'000 miles on it.

It has since then clocked up to 60'000 miles

(I don't use it much) which means

(if my math is right) that the engine has now done 30'000 miles.

So there is loads of life left in the old girl.

I'm looking for

£2995

(ono) for the car.

I had no idea prices had dropped so much in the past year and was quite shocked at how cheap MR2's are now! The car itself is in great condition and has been lovingly looked after by myself.

(I've owned MR2's for over 7 years now)

The full specification is as follows:

- Engine Lid rod holder is broken

(trying to source one from Toyota)

- Wheel nuts have corroded, need replacing

(only for asthetic reasons)

One on drivers side where I get in and out the car, the 2nd on the passenger side from a cigerette burn

You may notice in the pictures that the wheels dont match.

The wheels in the picture

(rear ones) are the trackday ones as listed above.

The day-to-day wheels are the ones on the front.

Please view my gallery for a proper picture with the proper wheels on.

Also, the oil line hoses in the engine bay are not as clean as shown in the picture above as they've been on the car for 2 years now.

Everything else cleans up nicely though.

I would also consider a part exchange toward a Lexus IS200

(as this is what I'm after).

If anyone is considering it please let me know and we'll work out car/cash for a trade.

Please email me or respond here if you are interested or have any queries.

EDIT: SHould mention where I live! Canvey Island, South East Essex.

Thanks for looking.
