Mk1 dark blue T-bar supercharger - now SOLD

Post by MWallace »

1987 t-bar JDM 5-speed manual supercharger in dark blue. Looks fantastic with colour-coded side rubbing strips (i.e. no pinstripes) and sitting on a set of good-condition 15" Oz 5-spoke alloys. The car has done 120k miles (speedo reads 193,000km) and runs beautifully, with negligible oil consumption. I've used exclusively Castrol fully synthetic oil, changed every 4000 miles, and had the cambelt changed at 100k miles. A Magnex stainless exhaust is fitted, as is a Thatcham Cat 1 alarm/immobiliser. Black (not blue!) fabric interior, complete with t-bar shades and pockets. Alpine CD/Tuner.

On the minus side there is a little rust on the each of the rear arches (not bad though, and much better than your average non-restored UK Mk1) and at the rear lower corners, plus a hole in the n/s front wing which is hidden behind the side skirt. The air-con hasn't worked for the 4 and a half years I've owned the car.

Because of the rust and the mileage I'm looking for around £2,000, which is probably as cheap as you'll find a genuine 5 speed supercharger that isn't white or two-tone. If I can't get (very) close to that I'll fix the rust and keep the car for at least another year.

The car is in south London; pm me if you'd like to view.

I would seriously consider it mate, as I am looking for a decent mk1 (thou not nessessarily a SC), but alas Aberdeen to South London is a bit far for a viewing at his time of year. #-o
