Just to add:

The MK1 Club and the Drivers Club stands are right next to each other - which is great.

Tango is a last minute 'stand in' car for the stand, so now i will be there on saturday.
On the MK1 stand we have:

A stunning SC
A shiny TBar NA
Modifed Tango
Tim's Challenge Car

Lol at Tim :D . Drops dirty race car off on Friday, comes back Sunday to find it all clean and shiny. Even the tyres had been blacked up!

EDIT: I believe Fred washed it and John and Stuart polished it

Was a great show again. I was sorry not to be able to make all days (due to my attending beign last min - had other commitments)

Tango got the usual attention - and its a love or hate reaction (epecially as the show is mostly old age classic cars)

Tims car pulled a lot of attention - I think It os Stuart Kynoch and John Upsall (white sc) who he needs to thank for the pollishing, but thanks to Tim for bringing the car.

Johns SC was a show stunner, and a few people offered quite large sums of money to him to persuade him to sell - but he stood firm.

Doris's 'Flitzer' gleamed, and was a great example of a standard MK1.

Well, Ive only just got Tango home. As usual (it seems) something went wrong with the car. (if its not tango going wrong its one of the other mk1's)
The alternator i fittted last week failed as we tried to leave the NEC in the dark on sunday. Due to getting peed around by the breakdown people i spent 5 hours today at the NEC gettign recovery sorted.

I left Tango there overnight being looked after by overnight security (nice chaps). Took the sc today with a spare newly reconditioned alternator and loads of spares, but the breakdown people couldn't be ar$ed to help me fix it by the road. Instead it took flippin ages to sort out transport.

Tango now is back on the road with new alternator - but what a game!

So NEC has mixed feelings from me now...

I bet you were shattered! I only spent a half day or so manning the stand - you were there non stop!
Its mad how tired you get from talking so much, but everyone looked really eager to find out about your racing. The stand was cool too.
maybe some time i will get to chat to you more.
