CLUB NATIONAL CHRISTMAS PARTY 2006 QUALITY FRIENDLY HOTEL, ASHBY ROAD, LOUGHBOROUGH, LEICESTERSHIRE - SATURDAY 9th DECEMBER 2006 The year is moving along and the Christmas Party time is rushing towards us, the venue is booked so we are ready for another great party.
The event will be held on the 9th of December at the Quality Hotel in Loughborough the same venue as the last two years which seemed to please everyone who attended. The event will be similar to last year with a Disco and a Cabaret.
This year we will be entertained by the Retro Flyers (Tamla Motown, Commitments and Blues Brothers) It is inevitable that prices are going to rise each year but we have managed to negotiate a good price
(£59 per person, an increase of only £2 each) for the accommodation and the entertainment, these will be as follows:- The cabaret will be
£27.50 each which includes the Gala Dinner and Disco, details of the menu will follow later in the year. Accommodation will be
£31.50 per person for two sharing a double or twin room. I am hoping that there wont be a single supplement, at the moment I am waiting for an answer on that. I will need a
£10 deposit for each person attending, which should be with me by the 30th September, the balance of £17.50 is required by the 31st of October, if you care to pay the whole amount by the 30th of September it would be appreciated so I dont have to chase for it. A little nearer the date of the party you will have to book your accommodation at the hotel which is The Quality Hotel, New Ashby Road, Loughborough, Leicestershire, LE11 4EX, telephone 01509 211800.
The hotel is situated 1 mile from junction 23 of the M1 towards Loughborough on the left hand side of the dual carriageway, the details are as follows:- You will need to telephone the hotel and give a credit card number to secure your accommodation for the Saturday night the 9th of December, do it once you have decided to go to the party and certainly no later than the middle of October as there are other parties that evening, the phone number is 01509 211800.
When booking you must state that it is for the MR2 MK1 CLUB and Fred and Doris Sanderson. The hotel has facilities that we can use whilst we are staying, there is a gym and a swimming pool, so dont forget to bring your swimming gear.
On Sunday morning after breakfast Stuart Kynoch will arrange some activity for us to finish the weekend off.
