I have recently purchased an mr2 turbo and was hoping to pop over and meet some of you guys.. hope thats ok

Frosty and System G should remember me from Northants Jap Car Forum before the site got hacked (My Name was Spoony.VTEC and I owned the Prelude).

I suppose with the NJCF forum being down, it hasn't helped. I started looking into a new forum, but got too busy with work etc... Maybe after summer

Was good to see the old faces and meet some new ones

I was quite a good meet for a 1st. We landed up having 2 MK1's and 6 MKII's. One of the MKII's isn't on the forum and was just at the pub by chance (his local drinking hole) and will probably join the forum sometime soon. His car was one of the two very rare MKII's there - Rev4 Beams powered. NVI owner (sorry mate can't remember your name) also showed up in his MKII Turbo TRD Spyder - the only original one known to be ever made.

I couldn't believe how quick the time dissappeared! Jo & I were starving as we hadn't eaten before the meet and nowhere was serving food by the time we left

Will try keep everyone informed as and when things happen, got to try get a regular thing going

Sorry i couldn't stay was a bit last minute but will def catch up properly next time!! . . . .and mr2mk1chick might get u to go out with Amy show her how to drive the '2!!!

I hope you mean take Amy out in one of ours? I wouldn't like to have a play in your newly aquired tubby let alone Jo who has never driven one. Just concerned hitting boost will take Jo by complete suprise is all.

You both need to come along to a track day to see exactly just how far you can push the car in a controlled environment.

Tracks days might be a possabillity but unsure if i want to track her yet but i know Amy wouldn't do one . . . .but she may shock me!!

Is everyone still up for a meet?

There are now FOUR Mk2 MR2s in one 100 metre stretch of road not a million miles from my house (a yellow one, a dark green one, and two blue ones). To cap it off, a Rev 1 tubby has just appeared on one of my neighbours' front gardens, and I've just noticed a Mk1 (with a weird-looking front nose) round the corner from me, so there are a fair number of MR2-owning peeps about here.

On a side note, I am looking at getting the Northants Jap site/forum back up. Well a new one anyway. Gareth, fancy giving a helping hand?
