The "Log Book" This Month

Post by jonno »

Anyone else notice the lack of content and unpleasant tone throughout this months log book from the MR2DC?

It loosely contains, 1 begging page asking for support, some adverts, 1 weak article about F1, 1 article about Aston Martin? and 8 pages of Kens ramblings on life, mr2's and the universe.

I feel cheated for the 10 minutes i spent reading the drivel :)

Thank god the F1 was worth getting up for otherwise I would be depressed today!.

Ill get back in my box now :)

Jonno - do yourself a favour man! Cancel that subscription.

The DC is useful for hardly anything at all now that Dorsets Insurance isnt even competitive.

Easy folks, remember the forum rules about respect for other clubs etc.

I guess the problem for them is that there are fewer people submitting articles to go to print when its quicker/easier to put something up online.

On that note, the IMOC site here will have an Knowledgebase that everyone will be able to contribute towards when we've got the new Portal part of the site complete :)

Don't know haven't read it or been a member for over a year now.

Can't say i've missed it tbh. It always seemed to contain aqquisition stories more than anything else to the point where i just cannot bear to read them anymore.

I used to get really fed up with reading articles about F1 or the new calypso yaris and the like that were so obviously cut and pasted from a website.

That said i've had a few articles in the log book.

Overall i find it a bit dissapointing as a mag to say the least.

the Mk1 club mag on the other hand, though in black and white more than makes up for any shortcomings in scanning photos and the like with some really good content and would take a good hour to read.

Y'know, I could never work the Log Book out. The idea was great, and it was fairly professionally laid out and presented, but as Content Is King...

I'd be just as happy with some photocopied A4 sheets, but with some interesting and thought-provoking articles.

No problem with the MR2DC itself; it's just an area of MR2 ownership that is in a different direction to IMOC.
