hi guys/gals, i 'm looking for a reference book, you know like the toyota green engine book for the mk1.. whats about for the mk2 turbo, anything?.. i was considering buying one of them cd;s on ebay for 3sgte manual etc, but i reckon it would be just basic stuff and general servicing.. i need dimenisonal specifications of the block & head.. u know.. crank & rod journals/bores/cylinders/cams/head. ive searched around but cant seem to find any reference on the web.. anyone got ideas?

Get one off of ebay, the one I bought covered the complete service manual in PDF format.

I've used it to do a full strip down and re-build....all the info is in there.

I put the BGB on my 1990 Apple Mac Classic which lives in my garage, took a while but an $11nzd computer is cheaper than a $50nd+ book 8)

OK!

Where can you source a real toyota MK2 Turbo hand book for what ever year? Does it exist?? or will it be up for bids for silly money if found?

In short, all of the above are iffy copies of the 'proper' workshop Manuals (Folks - please note what the Forum rules say about Copyright)

It has been known for people to pass information and Parts CD's on from their local dealer to another dealer to help another IMOC member locate a part they're looking to buy ;)

You can buy the real paper manuals from the USA - I've got the 1993 Manuals for my car, and cost about £80 from the USA, plus another £40 in shipping and VAT and handling charges at the UK end. They're really big thick manuals though, much much better than Haynes and if you were new to doing your own work they give you all the info you need.

They've been worth every penny though - I've done lots of jobs using them and easily made back what they cost in terms of saved labour charges.

I'd certainly recommend ordering a set.

Got a printer havent you?? It's much better. Print of the bits you need, get them as oily as you like, throw them away when finished and print a new copy when you need them again!

yeh i guess, thats when i find my origonal copy to copy for my own intentions !!! I got my 4age manual from the states.. toyota wanted 50 quid,. whats up with the uk?.. we have little here, and if we have if its over-priced, with all due respect you cant blame joe public for wanting to copy , we get shafted all round, mind, suppose a copyright is a copy right. I'm going to ring a friend at a 'toy dealer and see if there are any floating about, mind, im guessing as ben says its U.S only, as per.
