It's combined points scored by their cars in all three events - they won it last year as well.

Indeed, I expect we will have our own qualifying times next year, there are so many cars entering the UK/getting built now. :)

I think most of us were expecting (hoping for?) a few 11's and then mainly low to mid 12's but these things never quite go to plan, we have a year ahead of us to make sure they do next time ;)

Those are the times they have passed on, he did a 12.96 @ 123 as well so maybe it was that run and the speed they announced? (He also did two 12.87s and a 12.79 from what I've got here).

They probably weren't, Michael has updated stuff :P

I think most of the team were disappointed with their times. I know Mark had an overheating problem, Andi was unhappy with his car's performance and I struggled for grip/getting out of first quick enough!!

Andrew was quite happy to spank a Lambo with his early 12 though. :)

Can I post up my excuses now?

I lost 3rd gear after my first run on the strip
My second run was 1st, 2nd, crunch, crunch, arrrgh, b0llocks, fifth.
It kinda went downhill from there........

Dont think it impeded me on the top speed to much - that was more down to my 110 degree intake temp

And on the handling circuit I just kept it in second and bounced of the rev limiter at 8k.......

Anyway, although dissapointed with my 1/4 times (although my 112 terminal is a pb by about 4mph - and that run was compromised by the rover in front of me dropping all its fluid on the start line) I absolutely loved the handling circuit - made my day!

To be honest i'm not at all sure as to what my best quarter time was. I was told by several people on the day that I had made one run at 12.3. I was relatively happy with the times over all given that we knew the suspension to be far from ideal for dragging! As Patrick has mentioned elsewhere we will be testing various suspension set ups over the coming weeks to enable us to put the power down well. Once sorted i'm very confident that we will break into the 11's. It's also worth baring in mind that we were still using the old GT28 turbo on the day and not the monster that we planned. This was due to their being a supply issue with some components needed to enable the fitting of the said turbo. With this beast fitted low 11's are on the cards. That aside I think with a terminal of 123mph across the line shows as to the potential of the car once set up correctly \:D/

Having said all of this, it's important to remember that the car has not been build with only 1/4 mile time in mind ! It has been designed for the most part to lend itself to track and fast road driving, although the latter of these two I believe the car to be a little too wild to suit

In short better things are to come but as with all good things, they don't happen over night

some good results there considering that other more "expected" cars weren't putting down silly low times, you lot did good.

in fact so good it spurned me back to the unit tonight to get some more work done on the car, so she's now on all 4 wheels & running happily, going to drive her outside to give her a much needed was tommorrow (first time she' been driven since april 2005! all excited now! \:D/ [-o< [-o< [-o<

Once again, congratulations to the team and Mitch for doing such a fantastic job in organising.

Maybe the times didn't reflect what the cars or drivers are truly capable of, but one thing's for certain...

It wasn't for the want of trying. =D>

Every member of the team gave their all, and barring a couple of mishaps, they really did put the MR2 and IMOC on display for all to see in the most brilliant light.

I for one will be doing everything I possibly can to ensure that my car is ready for next years event, and, I can only hope to perform as admirably as the members of our 2006 TOTB team have done this year.

Well done everone. =D>
