WI, set by psi or duty cycle?

Post by Driftlimits Performance »

Hello everybooooody

Is it more advisable to have your WI set up via your duty cycle as opposed to the boost pressure?

Ideally, I'd like it setup by the duty cycle, but is it worth the extra money?

TIA

here's a radical thought for you.. How about set it by temperature, when the intake temp gets too high, squirt in some water

Good plan batman! Why doesn't everybody do that? :?

So in theory I could just swap the boost pressure sensor on a entry level WI, and replace with some temp sender. hmmmm. If you got anymore info I'd like it!

the reason folk don't do that is nobody else does

try this article for a very clever set up and you can buy the kit too.

if the article is locked for reading do a google search on Intelligent Intercooler Water Spray which takes you straight into the article in full

That's a brilliant bit of info!
Thank you :D

It really does make a lot of sense.

Definately going to go for water spray ON the intercooler before I WI in the intake after reading that.

Thanks again!

u would have to set it to boost pressure and temp or u would just be sqirting water down the the intake of a slow running engine and that aint good !!!!!!!!!!!!!
