Timing belt quote from Mr T

Post by Urban Assault Vehicle »

Howdy,

Just got off the phone there from my local Mr T. I asked them for a quote to replace the timing belt (1995 NA) and they came back with a quote for £305.32 (inc VAT) which includes 4 hours labour and replacment of one of the idler pulley's.

Was a much better price than I was expecting. What do you think?

Cheers

Rip off. £100 labour + £30 for belt at a recommended garage of an ex-toyota mechanic. Shop around mate. Where you located and Im sure you will get recommendations for that area.

Yeah that is expensive. I was quoted £150-£200 by various garages.

Here was me thinking that was a reasonable price!

I've asked before about MR2 (or jap car) specialists in central scotland but there doesn't seem to be anyone that stands out.

Back to the drawing board. Cheers guys.

Nice one. Can you let us know what they say when you get in touch? Heard a fair bit about HyperTech lately.
