Yes I know that one too. It sold for £2900 and then £2700 (IIRC) a few months back (but it didnt meet the reserve, which was later stated to be £3000). Bloke accused people of timewasting and then took it off

Looked like a nice conversion to me, I think the guy just misjudged the fact that 90% of potential buyers lived hundreds of miles away and wouldnt travel that far just to look at a car that they may not even bid on.

I dont suppose anyone still ahs the link to the ebay add or has seen it for sale else where on the web.

If you guys have seen it how much would you pay?

Thanks

Really its up to you - if you drive it and like it then thats good enough (although dont get carried away and ignore the stuff that you would look for if you were just buying a cheap fiesta). These cars are definetly in the specialist bracket so its really up to how much you are happy to pay.

I dont have the ebay link anymore, I think it was over three months ago so dead now anyway. Hes obviously a bit keener on selling it now. Good luck and let us know how you get on.

if I'm not mistaken it was also for sale on the mk1 club site but doubt that the old add will still be available, pretty much agree with alistair if the car seem sound and you can raise the cash then go for it but as always with modded cars selling it on may not be as easy as a standard one

What do you mean Tony?

Surely you wouldn't put in a Kmh speedo for authenticity?

Hi Lauren, No i meant that if your going to all that trouble surely you can alter the speedo to read MPH.... its been done before TBH, far better than having a standard N/A speedo without the SC light in e.t.c, Jinxy

No point altering teh speedo to read MPH.. just put a UK speedo in.

Tony its teh rev counter that has the pointless SC light in it.

Nope - the one which was stoved in at a track day a while back was similar, but had side skirts removed etc....

The only point in the sc light is for people that are thinking of lowering fuel consumption.
I never bother to look at it but i don't mind it being there!

But you can feel when the SC is on... the light isn't an accurate representation of that.. not really.

Anything over 80 and the SC is on all the time.. If you have a boost gauge teh SC engages at 8" vacuum.

The light actually indicates when there is positive pressure in the inlet manifold. But it doesn't measure it directly (there isn't actually a pressure sender in the inlet manifold). It works it out from the AFM and TPS. As Lauren says the SC is engaged far more of the time than the light indicates.

Although, as Lauren and Tom explain superbly (when dont they?) the SC light serves no relevance to when the SC is actually in use, it has great novelty factor IMO.

Going to see a white one tomorrow, its a SC model in white, and fingers crosed its manual as i forgot to ask #-o

The guy has had it 8 years and its always been garaged so fingers crossed, they guy says its done 117Km so it sounds promising for an original supercharged model.

Its a Tbar.

Any tips guys?

So excitied i cant sleep =D>
