Introduction

I hate introductions on forums and never do it so this is something special :)

Hi,

Mark, 34 from Edinburgh.
Was into motorbikes when I was younger and left school when I was 15 to be taken on as apprentice mechanic in a bike shop in Falkirk, where i'm originally from. That lasted about 3.5 years then the shop shut :( . I have stayed mildly obsessed with motorbikes since then, but funds and life have sometimes denied me the pleasure (some hand jockey stole my FZR1000 exup last year) :cry;

I recently became the (proud?) owner of a dodgy old mk2 rev1 N/A with an alleged rev3 motor. And I like it! but i fear this is a like akin to weekend binge drinking and currie eating than exercise and healthy food! at least I have a clean licence for the moment.
I'm not going to start asking questions here but, 120mph at 5k in top and still pulling like it did past 100mph (on a private road!), rev3 performance?.
It has over 150k miles on the clock (I assume the motor has less and have been told by the seller it has about 30k on it) and handles like a blamonge in the wet
It has standard 14" rims on clad with firestones such and suches but they have fuelsaver written on them!!! I think that may be the reason the missus refuses to wash my underwear after i've been for a drive in the wet :?
So tires are the first to change but I don't see much choice for 14" so I think a standard set of 15" is the way to go.
I want the car to be as predictable as possible as the missus drives it, she can get anything backwards without the need for rain.... or a corner
Next would be some bushes for the suspension, 150k on factory rubber? I honestly don't blame her for not washing my underklankers.
After that, who knows but probably as its a rev1 and the srtuts are rebuildable, some inserts and springs to lower it a little.
I don't want to spend too much on it as its an old car and i'm going to want a tubby soon, am I not?

Anyway I must dash out so you will have to excuse any speeling and grammar mistakes, I'm not reading all that crap again :)
Also, if you are thinking I may have ever been dropped on my head as a baby, you are wrong. I was left beside a radator for 2 hours after my birth which resulted in severe blistering of my head! I have a certificate to prove i'm not insane, honest!

Cheers

Mark

Cheers guys.
I don't usualy do forum's, ultimately because you can't give/get a punch in the face over the internet, well not yet anyway.
You lot seem like a reasonable bunch so I thought I'd join in and I'm going to need some advice in the coming months.
