I thought "Reaction Time" was just how quick you get off the line compared to when the lights go green.. it's got nothing at all to do with trap times or your final overall 1/4mile time..
Someone blow me out of the water
i thought we was on about 60ft times....
im pretty sure you arnt "timed" for a reaction, clock just starts when you leave the line.... (only the pros have to worry about leaving the line the moment it goes green)....

you said, no, frank is right, yet your talking about 60ft, franks talking about the light going green....
am confused..
You're confusing yourself Jim.
Reaction time = Time it takes you to leave the line from the lights going green.
60' time = Time it takes to get to the 60' beam from when you leave the line.
Reaction times can be completely ignored for this whole conversation as they play no part in it until cometition level.

yeh, i knew all that.....
re read it now, frank was just talking about why dave put "reaction time" in his post...whereas were actually talking about 60ft times...gotcha
don't suppose you might have seen my mate Mark up at Crail. He was up in his silver Hyundai Coupe and blew his gearbox on the line on his first run. Had to get towed off in shame, he was sooo... gutted! lol
