could someone pls tell me where the limiter is and how to loose it on a j reg mk 2 import

Hi,

You need to get a delimter basically, these also usually convert your reading from KPH to MPH as well.

You can get cheaper ones but as the power steering is also dependant on the speed signal, I wouldn't bother...

its already in mph does that mean anything whats the best way to tell if it has already been done??

Not necessarily, the previous owner may have just fitted MPH dials.

I 'lost' my limiter after having my Unichip fitted.
Damned if i can find it again..... :wink:

110mph dials by any chance? If so it's still in kmh and the odo will be working in kms too.

Same here with the motec, found it again at 155 at TOTB last year on the rev1 box. I'd love to find it again now on the modified rev2 box though. :twisted:

Do the rev1/2 boxes run out at 155? I thought they were meant to go up to around 168 lol

Rev1 box has lower gearing. Rev2 on are the same though, about 163 is meant to be the limit.

Ahh right IC. Is it a big job increasing the final drive of the gearbox? In other words is it a lot of spondoolies if your not doing it yourself?
