I think I went a little sideways on that roundabout and corner, nothing unusual though. I wonder where the other two went? I was getting sun in my eyes at one point so I think it was there...

Glad it was not just me in (accidental) sideways action trying to keep up. Mind you, the other two have modified suspension and better brakes than us so not surprising they lost us in our Standard cars.
Hey at least your exhaust did not fall off.

Next Meet should be Sunday 26th Feb but if people check with David first please since he is the Mk1 club organiser.

Unfortunately, I will be on night duty so I will not be down for that one

I donrt think I slid that much but it was the longest sustained slide so far. I think the road had a bit too much salt on it. At least it was very controllable and I had no issues correcting for it after the bend.

Not sure about the better brakes on my part!

Still got N2O in the tank, :( I think I need to increase the jetting to get rid of the rest! I used it a number of times but the performance seems to tail off at the top end. 8-[

Which way did you guys head off? I was concentrating on where Andy was going (other than round and round)!

hehe, was funny watching Chris in the mirrors catching like a train and then suddenly the gap seemed to get pegged... mate, I had the problem whereby the jets froze after sustained use that might be the reason you get intermittent power??

I altered the negative camber and toe on the rear, and it looks MUCH MUCH better now, and handles a lot more predictably. Often you need someone behind to tell you how it looks on the road.

I do have a cheating advantage on the brakes to be fair, the EBC's are excellent on the HiSpec brakes, they do smell a bit when used spiritedly though!

Sorry we lost you, I just enjoy gooning around on those 2 roundabouts at Cadnam, they have good clean surface with rpedictable grip and great visibility... we went up through to Lyndhurst and past the Ferrari and Maserati garage  then back through to Ower services on the way to Romsey.

I did notice I had to brake a hell of a lot earlier than you. Got to get a decent set of calipers! 8)

Not sure how to check for icing of the jets, they'll be defrosted by the time I've stopped, poped the lid and got the intake off  . A long static test I guess (with gas mask)!

It may be that I'm overfueling on sustained runs.
