[Mk2 Turbo] Non-LSD gearbox with LSD shafts?

Post by MegatronUK »

As I can't seem to find a decent Turbo LSD gearbox to replace mine anywhere (unless someone has got one???), I'm faced with the prospect of taking the car back off the road or using a non LSD box kindly donated by Paul Woods.

The question is, can I simply swap the two boxes over, using my existing LSD driveshafts on the non-LSD gearbox?

The reason I ask is that I have been told that you can use the non-LSD output flanges at gearbox end, and then bolt those to your LSD shafts, instead of ripping the entire shafts out and putting non-LSD shafts in (which of course would be more money).

Then I can try and figure out what is wrong with the lsd box at my leisure.

Sound do-able?
