Annual IMOC Dyno Day [Midlands]ish?- John Noble Motorsports

Post by jonno »

Right! I guess its about time I got this event underway for 2006 :)

I have looked around for a different venue, but have been unable to come up with anything near the setup that Nobles provide for us. I am aware that we have the TOC day at Bruntingthorpe on the 30th April and the IMOC Trackday on 11th March (thanks anna!), so im proposing that we use Saturday 8th April for the Dyno Day? Slightly later than previous years so no excuses for not having stuff ready! (yes I know im always the worst offender for not being ready!!)

The price will be £40 per 2wd car. We need a minimum number of 10 cars and there will be a max limit of 15. If we are unable to fill the 15 spaces I will open it up to other clubs and friends etc. 4wd is more expensive and takes more time, so I would rather we managed to fill all spaces with MR2's if possible!.

The address is as follows...

Noble Motorsport Ltd
172, Chatsworth Rd
Chesterfield
Derbyshire
S40 2AR

At this stage I would like to guage interest, this is a top dyno setup and you will get a decent colour plot of boost, power and torque plus a chat with Darren who runs the dyno about your plot, your car and possible mods that your planning.

Pictures from the 2004 Dyno day - I seem to have "lost" this years pictures :(

If your interested in attending just add your name to the thread. At this stage its just for a show of hands - I wont start the actual attendee list until next week when I have booked the slot with Nobles.

Thanks,

Neil.

Well indeed - although you do get what you pay for and the Street Racers day was cheap as chips! Hard to argue with the value :)

Hope we don't struggle to fill the places but i have a work colleague with a modified STi 8 who hasn't had it dyno'd yet to see what it's pushing, He'd join in if we don't get 15 MR2's :(

As far as I am concerned its open to all MR2 owning IMOC members. The day is currently only open to MR2's though.

I need to talk to Darren about the wheels figures, since we dont usually bother and tend to have the plots with torque, power and boost.

If we get enough people I will confirm everything before we draw up the final event details.

yep, they monitor the AFR during the runs. They will usually provide you a plot of whatever you want, its just a matter of asking.

I will call Noble Motorsports this afternoon and definitely book the day. Im am going to push for the plots to contain the following...

1. Flywheel BHP
2. Wheel BHP
3. Flywheel Torque
4. Boost
5. AFR

That is more than we usually get, but I feel its worth asking them :)

Once the day is booked I will open a new thread and ask for definite attendees.

Neil.
