What should i clean the mast with? dont want it jamming as it works perfectly!!!

I've cleaned
/ lubricated mine in the past with WD40 sprayed on to a piece of kitchen towel.Seems to keep it free from sticking.

yip thats what i do .. spray wd40 on a rag, raise the mast, clean it up and then spray a light coating on the mast and lower back down, no problems so far but then i hardly use it, just activate it once or twice every 2 months or so to make sure its okay.

UMMM a Little bit Camp
I found the best thing is to clean it with WD or the like and give it a smear of vasline or light grease to keep it good.
(WD is good for general cleaning and loosening but after the solvent in it evaporates it actually starts to absorb water... not what u want. Vasline sound a bit camp but is ideal)
