Voting Polls Are Flawed

Post by Enrico »

This has been nagging at me for a while now, & it has come to a head with the poll to keep/get rid off Xxxx from the TOTB forum.
Anyone who wasn't sure which way to vote could be swayed by looking at the current state of opinion before they voted, i.e. they want to vote no, but have a look first & everyone had voted yes. Therefore, they don't want to look stupid or are allowing themselves to have their opinion changed so they vote yes too.
Therefore what I am saying is that you shouldn't be able to see the state of voting until your vote has been cast.

Hmm...funny but we have only just finished changing all that about two days ago. Basically when a poll is created the creator now has the option to vide the results till the end of the poll.

I think the driving experiences poll script may need to be updated, as they do not show the results of the poll
