.he's a w4nker.

Re: what is going on here??
looks to me like hes trying to make huge amounts of cash by retending to sell his car, when infact hes just selling a photo.
.
.
.
he obviously trying to trick someone into bidding stupid amounts of money
(for a pic anyway).

Re: what is going on here??
I think he's trying to advertise his car without doing the whole auction thing.
.
.
.
You see the same thing happening with the breakers where they advertise
"breaking mr2" and then when u read the auction it says this is for a wheelnut please phone to buy your bits etc.
.
.
.

bit cheeky i suppose

Re: what is going on here??
yes I think thats right, he's not trying to do anything dodgy, just wants to advertise a swap and not risk getting the car sold for a ridiculously cheap price.
Some people just say
'do not bid' but I suppose this is safer.

From the text:
".
.
.a rear engined car with 225BHP.
.
.
", so its a bit of an MR2 rarity by the sounds of things.

Re: what is going on here??
Ebay dont allow direct advertising only Auctions

Hence you have to sell something!

Hence you have to sell something!
Re: what is going on here??
Hey guys.
I've been trying to sell this car for about a month, there is nothing wrong with it, even left a post on
'items for sale'
please give a sucker an even break.
I mean who would by a Rover 25, biggest mistake I ever made.
Fact is the
'2' has to go, and i need to make at least
£2.5k to fund a decent replacement.

Cheers Kerr

Re: what is going on here??
The more I think about i may even get angry, I took a lot of time thinking about the e-bay text, anyone who reads it properly will know exactly what I'm doing.

Anyone who reads it otherwise is obviously the W4nker.
may be this is the stupid fxxkers who have bid.

Cheers, a little pissxd off Kerr

I agree! False advertising IMO

When I list somat on the bay, its always the genuine item for sale, pictures speak 1000 words and having your listing called:

Toyota MR2 GTS Turbo

and a pic of an MR2 is going to fool a few people.

sell what your selling don't mask it by trying to fool people into something by pictures etc and in small text:

oh by the way, you are bidding on a picture of my car

FFS

Re: what is going on here??
I would have to agree with you Craig, its certainly not clear

That's a bit harsh.

Have you already tried selling the MR2 and the Rover seperately?

Why not use a reserve price then? I reckon its certainly bad practice, if you want to sell/swap a car use ebay properly or autotrader.
