[Mk1 ] VERY orange Mk1 followed by a shiny red Mk1 in NE Lei

Seen another MR2 when you were out and about? Find out if it was another IMOCer here.

[Mk1 ] VERY orange Mk1 followed by a shiny red Mk1 in NE Lei

Post by Sidewinder »

Coming round a bend in the road this afternoon, I noticed Jo zooming up behind me in her sunglasses-bright orange Mk1, closely followed by a beautiful red Mk1.
A bit of a blat ensued (just a shame there were too many other cars on the road), but I had to turn off the A6 to visit at friend in Birstall. \:D/

Who was the owner of the red one?

I'm very impressed with the acceleration of the Mk1s - after four years of owning an MR2, this is the first time I've been 'with one' on the road.

Top stuff!
Mk2 NA Rev1 -*- Mk2 Turbo Rev2 -*- Mk1 NA -*- Mk2 Turbo Rev 3 = all gone!

They are great value sports cars........having had 2 I can honestly say there is little else out there (comparable value) that can touch a mk1.

Yep - Garrick was in the red one (got lift to pick up my car)
guess you didn't spot the rusty bits then! lol

Donny was cool - good MK1 turnout

Hey Nige,

As the other's said, Red Betty was me 8)

Although the car was filthy (hadn't been washed in two weeks - Autoglym to thank for that  ), full of rust and gaffer tape (not for long 8) ).

Was good to "meet" you with a bit of a blatt
I think we met before at a Leicster meet ( couple of years ago) when I still had my white Rev3?

LOL You just came out of nowhere! :D One minute I'm cruising along...listening to the echo of my exhaust going underneath the bridge, and the next I have a bright orange car in my rear mirror! :D

Yes! I thought I recognised you when you went past - I've got the memory of a goldfish...

I'm still impressed with the performance of the Mk1... :-k ...but maybe my tubby is poorly...! :eye:
