[Mk1 ] VERY orange Mk1 followed by a shiny red Mk1 in NE Lei

Coming round a bend in the road this afternoon, I noticed Jo zooming up behind me in her sunglasses-bright orange Mk1, closely followed by a beautiful red Mk1.
A bit of a blat ensued (just a shame there were too many other cars on the road), but I had to turn off the A6 to visit at friend in Birstall.

Who was the owner of the red one?

I'm very impressed with the acceleration of the Mk1s - after four years of owning an MR2, this is the first time I've been 'with one' on the road.

They are great value sports cars........having had 2 I can honestly say there is little else out there (comparable value) that can touch a mk1.

As the other's said, Red Betty was me

Although the car was filthy (hadn't been washed in two weeks - Autoglym to thank for that ), full of rust and gaffer tape (not for long ).
