PMing everyone regarding the current (and future) elections

Post by Icsunonove »

As you are aware there has been very little discussion in the Elections Forum.

I suggested that perhaps it might be an idea to PM everyone saying something like:

"It's election time. If you want your say about the running of this club speak now or forever hold....." etc etc

This hasn't happened, I was just wondering why?

Discuss....

Michael, that's not fair at all! Esmond (for one) spends tonnes of his own free time working on code for this Forum......And there's loads of others who put in loads of their own free time.....

Please explain what your beef is......

I'm not the one starting dedicated threads questioning the actions (or lack of actions) of the admin team, I'm simply pointing out that not every idea that is suggested can be actioned because they require time and effort from a small team.

Don't try and twist this to make me into the bad man when this thread is your beef [-(

Completely unfair! :(

I have simply made a suggestion because hardly anyone seems involved. Let's face it, there are 3,500 members, that's not a small number of people!

I simply will have no interest in winning (or losing) an election where hardly anyone votes....

I don't really care if I win or lose. As long as the winner takes on some of my Manifesto ideas (which I think are good) I don't really care....

(PS Peter Andre is my hero, he wrote some classic songs! )

...and just to add. If the uptake doesn't improve I will probably drop out and let Phil take the position uncontested.

There is loads of work required to get the MR2MK1Club back on track. I am kind of passionate about the Mk1Club (as I am with IMOC) but IMOC has thousands of members and the Mk1Club does not....

Tom

We are in the process of emailing everybody who is a member of IMOC. It may mean a few get lost in spam filters, but if we PM everyone we may overload ourselves and crash!
