Hi,
Has anyone notice their paint blistering/bubbling on their sills?
I burst some of the bubbles and water came out..
When I ground off the blistering the metal was perfect underneath no rust?
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Tony

I'd be taking off the interior rear trims and inspecting the inner sill cavities, and also check whether the sponges have been removed.

No problem. It's the rear plastic covers with the speaker grills in them. They need removing. *might* need to remove the seat belt also, can't remember! To gain access to the inner sill cavity.
There is a sound deadening sponge that Toyota put in there to reduce noise, but this gets damp and sinks into the inner sill and rusts it from the inside out. So if your aren't removed, they need removing!
Once you access to the inner sills, you can shine a light in there and assess the degree of corrosion etc.
Hope that helps.
