- I had the same symptom a few weeks ago, i could hear the pump and the relay was clicking in and out, had a missfire at anout 5k rpm when boost was coming in.

So I tried changing the filter, then the rail and the Fuel pressure reg, finally I removed the tank and found the fuel pickup filter clogged with
"stuff" I swapped the pump out with a new one and filter, mainly because the removing the tank is a real
^%$& job.
I suspect it will be the pickup filter which means removing the tank.

A horrible job on axle stands but possible.
Takes quite a while to do.
