1990 MR2 Tyres

Post by mac2 »

I have 1990 MR2 non trubo which has been in dry store for the last 10 years.

I have arranged for a garage to carryout a full service, including fit new drive bets, renew all fluids and issue a MOT.

But, unable to find new tyres.

Front: Bridgestone 195/60R 14 85V
Rear: Bridgestone 205/60R 14 88V

Can anybody advise or will I have to buy 4 new 15 inch wheels.

Camskill list them but not a great choice for the rears. This means you will have to get them shipped to you then pay to have them fitted but it means you keep the original alloys if that is your preference.

If you are not fussed about the original alloys then a better option would be 16" or 17" rims as the tyre choice is much greater. 16" is a better compromise for handling and comfort
