Hello everyone,
I used to have a nice rev4 mr2 a few years ago and loved every minute of it! Moved into the nissan game and just got rid of my forged, hybrid turbo skyline . I'll maybe get some pictures up soon.
Weddings to pay for and recently moving out of my parents house i thought it was for the best but....... now i'm chomping at the bit to get something new.
I'm on the look out for a nice rev4 or 5 turbo. With a budget upto 6k. So if anyones interested in selling or just curious you can pm me with details!!
Looking forward to having a poke around the forum
Caleb

Love to see what the skyline once they are up
Rob has a cracking rev3 turbo for sale in the mr2 for sale section, a bit more than 6k but it looks like one of the cleanest examples around

Rev4 and rev5 turbos are few and far between but they do come up, there's a fresh import rev4 turbo on fleebay just now at £7k, it's been up quite a while, there was a fresh import rev5 for less than that for a while but it seems to be gone now
There's another rev4 turbo on gumtree a little less

I'll start spamming then!! (only joking moderators )
Definitely harder to find but i'm in no major rush, just a matter of keeping my eyes on all the car sites
I'll have a look at gumtree
Re: Returning MR2 lover!!
Rev 4 turbo you say?

Little over your £6K budget, but a fresh import.

Re: Returning MR2 lover!!
The gumtree one doesn't look bad few bits and pieces to sort but under budget so it's an idea! My old MR2 was goodwood green and this is dark emerald pearl (guessing cause it's an import model) so would pretty much be like having the same car!
Thanks Craig I noticed this car a while ago, i dunno not for me bit over budget and if i was going to get a fresh import i'd probably try to get one i wanted imported. Definitely try and get a black one

Re: Returning MR2 lover!!
Black was my favourite but then again an Goodwood green is a fantastic colour too
If you can go slightly above budget is definitely try for a fresh import rev5 turbo, prices of mr2s are steadily climbing now though.. Can only be a good thing for owners

Something sleek about them when they're black!
But goodwood is one of my favourites especially in the sun
I know I've been watching, hoping they level out now as a perspective buyer

There's some real weird cr@p doing on under that bonnet, it's definitely had a lot more on it in the past....
Re: Returning MR2 lover!!
Yeh I can't help but think there's something just not 100% about it but then again might be alright!
Re: Returning MR2 lover!!
Just looks like a stock Rev 4 3sgte with aftermarket ht leads and different coloured hoses?

Exactly it's probably grand
Re: Returning MR2 lover!!
Maybe. But also some intake, 2 different hose colours (indicating fettled by more than 1 person) rad cap (?) Weird wires trailing. Dunno, maybe I'm used to looking at your car too long Craig but this looks a bit.....messy......
For 7k I'd want it nice nice

Re: Returning MR2 lover!!
I bought my car from DCY europe (the place selling the blue one) his stock was all really nice when I bought mine, I think that blue one is a nice example if you're after something relatively stock - the fact it's still on a stock intercooler, stock BOV and there's no boost controller etc suggests it's had a relatively easy life. the multicolured vacuum hose and plug leads are a none issue.
plus it's got genuine japanese wheels, recaro seats, genuine tom's strut braces etc.. I'd say it was worth the money.
but then, If I was in the market for an MR2 it'd make much more sense to buy my car for £15 more, and save yourself about £10,000 in the long run

Ah it was the doofers above the steering cowel and in the single din slot that made me think it's had some bits wired up.
But like for like, IMHO Rob yours is worth it all over.

Haha quite the salesman
Your cars lovely rob but I'm personally looking something a little less modded. Will be an easy sale though
