Restrictive insert/pill found on my vac pipe.

Hi guys

Took apart the vac line from the turbo which has a tee to the waste gate and to a pressure sensor, Any idea what the idea of this insert is used for, it's restricting the pipe down to a 3mm or 4mm ,Unfortunately it was in the middle of the tube and only noticed when looking through them, either in the line from the turbo or In the line to the wastegate. GT35 turbo, 44mm external waste gate.

Sounds like a restrictor pill, used to limit flow to/from waste gates or solenoids to control boost. If you have no boost issues leave it where it is.

No issue with boost but I wish to reinstate, most images show it in the 1st hose from the turbo housing this sound right?
