[NA] rev1 > rev5

hi everyone,

looking into an engine swap, currently have rev1 and looking to purchase a rev5 lump just looking for pointers really, i know the ecu and passenger?? loom need swapping but:

1. g/box straight bolt on - i assume so - mine is speedo cable driven..
2. factory alarm (is it in the ECU) - currently have a toad system installed
3. exhaust manifold need swapping to a rev 5.. - different stud pattern - new down pipe though?
4. anything else to consider?

It's just as easy to drop in a v6 instead of a rev5 engine if you want to stay n/a and in my opinion it'd be a better end result

You would need a new downpipe as well. Rev4/5 downpipe is different to Rev3 as well.
