As far as i can remember i just reached in with a little posi screwdriver as the 2 screws were visible.

detach actuator rod
undo 3 screws on the outside end of door

slide lock mech out

undo 2 little screws
unclip the wiring connector

No the 2 switches on the b pillar are the push button for interior lights and the lever for the seatbelt tensioner.
