With that turbo on it? Sure. How long will it last though?

The initial description is so misleading though.

"Impressive results from this turbocharged 1995 Toyota MR2: 405whp 312tq (or 450+whp for Dynojet comparison). This was achieved on a stock 3SGE (nonturbo) engine using E85 fuel and a finely-tuned Haltech Sport 1000 EMS. Modifications below."

They really should mention the turbo there, let alone all the supporting mods. Very cheeky to use the word 'stock' in the description, just because they haven't changed the engine internals.

Still pretty nuts for a high compression engine with stock head-gasket ect .. very impressive but would not give it long till 3sgte forged swap is on the cards

If this was a good idea alot more would of done it .. who needs a forged 3sgte motor when a 3sge can hanldle 400 plus hp  crazy

We could have a bet on what goes pop first I suppose? I shouldn't laugh about that, really, it's just tempting fate 8-[

That's quite impressive, though.

Surely the IMOC world should have erupted, you can't even run more than 1 bar on a stock head gasket can you?

It'd be interesting to see what sort of power could be achieved on a 3SGTE with those mods - I'm thinking roughly the same?

On the same boost pressure the 3SGTE would make less power as the CR is lower, but it would probably be able to tolerate higher boost pressure- so would probably be able to make more power assuming that boost pressure and detonation was the limiting factor.
