[Mk2] [Turbo] Oils
I've tried googling and searching the sites, but cant seem to find a definitive answer to what is the best thickness of oil to use on a rev3 Turbo. I also need some gearbox oil if anyone can recommend either that would be great. Thanks.

I tend to buy GTSchris Oil service kit, that uses 5/30, don't know if its the best, ive never really hand any problems with it.
Gearbox oil, i've been using redline MT-90 found this to be awesome.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Oils
I talked to someone at Rouge Motorsport, and he was of the opinion that a low mileage or newly built engine could use fully synthetic 5w/30. But as my engine has quite a lot of miles on it, I may be better using 10w/40 semi synthetic. As for the gearbox, he recommended 75w/90 gear oil.

I went for 5w 40 fully synthetic in the end after doing a bit of googling, engine seems to sound better all round and much quiter straight away. I can always change it if its wrong
Cars done about 70k
is fully synthetic OK!?

Fully synthetic is fine people tend to have a personal preference when it comes to oil, 5w30, 5w40, 10w40 all OK.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Oils
I have a translated MR2 owners manual and for the mr2 turbo it says 10w30 or 20w40 for engine oil.
Places that do my servicing use 10w40.
A couple of years ago the Mobil 1 website used to recommend New Life 0w40 for an MR2 turbo. Just had a look and they don't make a recommendation and just give a phone number.
