And I want to make a complaint to the organisers! The slowest Mk1 NA and slowest Mk2 turbo both won wooden spoon prizes. Where's my wooden spoon prize for slowest Supercharger ?

Hello, fastest MK1 NA coupe here :D

xxxxxx gay how they run cars, bikes and proper dragsters all on the same day, we were saying they should have the bikes and dragsters on a different day and some guy in a skyline overheard us and said they should have a big cliff at the end for when they run, we rekon he was pi$$ed cos there the only things on the road he cant keep up with

\:D/ THANKYOU \:D/

Thanks to everyone that came on sunday. What a fantastic turnout!
It was my first time at organising things, so sorry if there were any probs.

It was a real shame it was soooo BUSY. Loads of pod regulars said (my self included) that they had never seen it that busy before - even on a show day. so don't know why this was. unlucky really.

It was great to finally put faces to names, and get to chat to some of you - but felt like i was rushing round everywhere and not really getting change to have a good natter! (maybe see some of you at Donnington or Jap show at Pod)

I had to laugh when i got to take the wooden spoon for slowest MK1! and with such a large gap from the others too! #-o i guess it must be all the extra weight of the orange paint then! lol

I will definately do this event again next year (Aug / Sept time), maybe at a different drag strip to give those who don't live close to pod a better deal next time. (and hopefully not too busy day either!)

Also - keep your eyes out for a MK1 club Stand at Rotorstock, Shakespeare County raceway drapstrip next spring for the same kind of thing. :D

I will try to sort out posting all the times etc. but have left all the paperwork at home! doh! #-o

Thanks again all of you for coming \:D/ \:D/

WOW! I've just checked attendance.

We had 33 MR2s and 6 others, making a total of 39!

There were 19 Mk1 NAs, 3 Mk1 Superchargers and 11 Mk2s.

=D> Well done Jo and the Mk1Club! =D>

PS I got a much better *start* than Simon, have a look:

....but my run was ruined by having to swerve around that fool with a mop!

And this other fool also put Jo off, by "goose stepping" down the track (a la John Cleese) and making her do an 18.75! :clown:

 D'oh! I'm not too good on Mk2s yet! I thought they were all Turbos, I can't tell the difference . And this is attendees, not runners. I have no idea how many people actually had a run (Jo will confirm tomorrow). Here's the full attendee list:

It's Andy's van so he probably has a better idea of it's times but it's not slow - it would have beaten a fair few of the crappy efforts that were running on Sunday :)

It's stripped out from the factory, alloys, skirts, splitter.... in Max Power terms that's an extra 100bhp =;
