(rev2)
So running rich, rev on the drive and even in the low rev range can get some black smoke. Also has that smell of fuel (someone who followed said it had that smell when i put my foot down). I've suspected for a while its running rich.
Lamba checked via diagnostics port and outputting like it should. However I noticed the gasket between the exhaust manifold and the turbo is leaking, not loads but not a little bit either.
Could this make it run rich?
the other give away its running rich is the exhaust tip is black with soot. Any tips from anyone?

Is it using noticeably more fuel than it should be / normally does?
Is it decatted...?

it is decatted. I have nothing to judge the fuel against unfortunately in terms of use.
Also just to add the coolant sensor was changed as well, but I havent checked the new one is working correctly as well.
Just wondered if the blowing could be putting the 02 sensor out and causing it to run a bit rich.

Did a bit more playing. I think it's the gasket blowing that may be causing air to get in the exhaust between the air pulses and O2 sensor telling it to throw more fuel in.
I then found if revving on the drive just little blips, could get small popping from the exhaust. I'll fix the leak and I think that will help.
Be nice if I can just undo the 4 nuts + supporting bracket! drop turbo down 4cm and then do up with the new gasket.... Here's to hoping!
