wheel question.

Post by kev8611 »

I have the chance to buy a set of B.I.M Zeit 17 inch wheels.

Looking at sizes and offsets they are 7.5 et47 front and 8.5 et42 rear. Hub diameter is 73mm

Will i run into any issues with clearance on suspension etc? Ride height is standard rev 3 turbo although i do plan on fitting coils at a later date.

As for tyres im think 205 45 for front and 225 45 rear.

Hopefully i dont see any issues as the wheels will look awesome on the car

:)

I'm pretty sure those fronts will rub on the suspension strut.

Offsets are pretty high, but should be fine with a 10-15mm bolt on spacer. My 7.5x17 et36 front wheels are pretty close to the suspension.

Tyres seem a little narrow too, you would be better with a 215/40 front and 235/40, 245/40 or 255/35 on the back

Great looking wheels though, well worth the effort in making them fit.
