couple of quick searches brought back these

or for a performance alternative.

Of course he may have paid for the OEM mazda part but from what he said doesnt sound like it.

I'm just amazed by the cost of the mazda original part, i really cant see many people paying the price for a 10 year old car.

Certainly a lot more than the 35 quid you can get a cat for a mgtf for although that is an aftermarket part that doesnt last anywhere near as long as a genuine manufacturers part.

In the same way I've refurbished the aircon on my 21 year old MR2.

Aircon radiator - £350
Rerfurbished AC compressor - £275 inc 2 year warranty
New Dryer - £30
Vac Test system & Re-gas with R34A gas - £80

Total - £735.

The age of the car is irrelevant. My car gets maintained with original Toyota parts, or top quality aftermarket parts. No ebay sh*te.

Agreed for an enthusiast like your self you would prob want to use better parts for your pride and joy.

But for a guy like this who just wanted his car to run another year or 2 at cheapest price then he's prob not bothered about quality parts.

Aye, fair dos. Each to their own and all that!
