Rev 2 Turbo T-Bar driveshaft issue

Post by TotalControl »

1st post here so apologies if this is in the wrong section.

I have a Rev 2 Turbo in T-Bar flavour that is an import. The drivers side driveshaft has broken so a new one is required. I understand the NA driveshafts won't fit as they are slightly different.

My question is, is the Rev 2 driveshaft specific to that era as the newer revisions had uprated engines and higher power output? Can a driveshaft from any Turbo revision fit?

Thank you in advance.

Turbo shafts differ between lsd and non lsd gearbox but all the revisions are the same

Thank you for that. Will ABS have an issue in locating the right product also?

Haven't had a picture sent to me yet by the garage so will try to request one, or at the least some indication of where the issue is.

I'm guessing opposite side to gearbox link is easier to fix/replace?

Had a look and the car doesn't have ABS and I'm pretty sure it probably won't have an LSD.

I took a picture but the inner side of the driveshaft has pretty much shattered, so no point in uploading it.

I'm hoping the inner side of the DS can be rebuilt, but not holding my breath for the chance.

Not sure where to look now for one.
