A request for dying wish

Post by Mark acres »

Hello my name is mark and I would like all your members help to make a lasting memory x
20 years ago in Germany where my father was stationed in the RAF he was asked to look after his friends beautiful White MR2 T Top which he gave permission for my mum to drive around in for the duration of his tour. In this time over the beautiful summer me and my mum were always out in the sun roof windows out and going shops or my favourite the local wildlife centre to feed the horses and always laughing at the black leather seats burning our bums from the sun
2 days ago me and my family found out my mother has stage 4 terminal cancer with 3 months to live so I'm asking if anyone out there would be kind enough to allow me to return the favor of taking her out in a white MR2 to relive those wonderful days I understand this is a huge request and I thank you for your time in reading this and if anyone can help please contact me via email on mDOTacresATmeDOTcom I'm in the Midlands in burton upon Trent
Again many thanks for you time
Regards
Mark

Very touching - a really lovely idea. Had I still got my white mk2 t-bar I'd have been more than happy to help you out. As it happens I've just got a red one in pieces at the minute so not much help! I'm sure someone will be able to help you out :thumleft:

Hi Mark,

If I was closer I would definitely help you out. I am in the MR2DC and there are lots of members up your way. I will email the local organiser in your area, I have also included the club's email address and number below if you would also like to contact the main club.

Best wishes to you and family.

Oh man, im so sorry to hear about your Mother and I wish you all the best in fulfilling this wish. I do have a white MR2, (not a T-Top), however I would have been honoured to help you with this but the car is still in the workshop.

I hope someone comes through for you.

Hi i have a white t bar we have just lost my wifes mother, tracgically, in a sudden manner, so i would be happy to help you make something nice happen.

i am a bit away but if i can help i will.

Perhaps we could we coul organise a meeting of a collection of mr2 s even different colours? I am sure as a community we could together make a special day for a special lady

Best regards. Brian
