[Mk2] [NA] Boot hinge wearing rubber seal...
I've noticed the boot hinge has worn a hole in the rubber boot seal....where it rubs during opening and closing...anyone managed to cure this?

never seen this problem but I'll have a look at mine this afternoon and see if I can figure out why mine isn't catching, might help you

Or OP could post a picture of the hinge assembly with the boot open.

checked mine, misses the boot seal by a fairly large margin so aye a pic of the OP's issue might help
